What is a Middle Bacon?

I like Middle Bacon it has it all, you get the loin, the crackling and the streaky part of the bacon all in one. It is not as popular as it once was due to people worrying about their waist line.

It is hard to get hold of now but if you find a shop that sells Middle Bacon its definitely the best bacon to buy in my book.

Butchers Tip
There are a few shops selling Middle Bacon without the rind, to me this is not real Middle Bacon. So check first.

Cooking Tip
You can do anything with Middle Bacon but to get the rind nice and crunchy, I like to grill it.

Where does it come from?
Bacon is cured Pork and comes from the Pork Loin and Belly Pork been rolled together.
